Chavara Cultural Centre Delhi in association with Delhi Syro-Malabar Youth Movement (DSYM) has organized an Inter- Religious-Ecumenical EASTER CELEBRATION आशा का महोत्सव to foster mutual respect, acceptance and appreciation among religions and its faithful on 02.04.2024 (Tuesday) at Diocesan Community Centre (DCC), Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic Church, Gol Dak Khana, New Delhi.

And that’s how the Inter-religious Ecumenical Easter Celebration’24 ~ Celebration of hope with the true spirit of dance and music came to an end!

Chavara Cultural Centre Delhi is a Centre to promote peace and harmony in society through inter-religious dialogue and art and cultural interactions. We celebrate every year all religious and cultural festivals of our nation such as Diwali, the Month of Ramayana, Christmas, Eid-ul -Fitr, Easter, Guru Nanak Jayanti Etc. with people irrespective of religion and politics to promote social integration of our nation.

Chavara Cultural Centre Delhi is an offshoot of Chavara Cultural Centre Kochi, a voluntary, non-sectarian and non-political institution, established in 1971 in memory of St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the great visionary and social reformer of 19 century who paved the way for a cultural transformation of Kerala through promoting universal education. Being one of the pioneers in Sanskrit education in Kerala he founded the first Sanskrit School in 1846, attached to the St. Joseph’s Church Mannanam, where children irrespective of caste, creed and religion sat together on one bench which marked history in the social and cultural arena of Kerala.
